KALAMAZOO, Mich. - No. 10 Men's Tennis (15-2) completed a 7-0 sweep of Kalamazoo College Thursday evening in Michigan.
The Cats dominated the doubles point, winning on all three courts. First to finish was court two, where
Cole Stelse and Inaki Cabrera-Bello won 6-1 over Derek Blackwell and Adnan Alousi. Next was
Glib Sekachov and
Eric Padgham on court one, winning 6-3 over Alex Fleming and Cameron Crosby. To go three for three, Matthias Kask and
Oskar Jansson won 6-2 over Will Seymour and Julian Bilbao.
Arizona rolled in singles play, with four Cats going 6-0 in their first sets and two going 6-2. Finishing first was Cabrera-Bello on court four, winning 6-0, 6-1. Next up was Kask with a 6-0, 6-0 roll, and Padgham with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Finishing fifth was Stelse, who won 6-2, 6-1. Closing out the sweep for Arizona was Jansson (6-2, 6-4) and Sekachov (6-0, 7-6).
The Wildcats will head down to Orlando next for their final match of the weekend and first conference face off against No. 19 Central Florida on Sunday, March 16 at 9:00 a.m. MST.
