Two Wildcats Finish Inside the Top 15 at The Cabo Collegiate

Men's golf takes eighth place at the Cabo Collegiate. The team played solid but didn't have enough birdies in the bag this week to keep up with the field. Filip Jakubcik picked up a top ten finish and was the low Wildcat down in Cabo.

Jakubcik shot 3-under par in the final round to place tied for eighth. He led the field in pars and had the third best par five scoring average over the three days. This is his third top ten finish and gives him back-to-back top ten finishes in his last two tournaments. Johnny Walker finished with a final round 72 and placed tied for 14th. He now has four top 15 finishes this season.

Zach Pollo carded a 75 in the final round and finished tied for 40th. Tianyi Xiong and Griffin Rhoads didn't have their best game down in Cabo as they both finished outside the top 60. Jackson Norwich, competing as an individual, shot a 78 to close out his tournament.

The Wildcats will play in Tucson next on March 17th for the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate. Be sure to come out and support.
