TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Women's Basketball has announced the addition of Achol Magot, a 6-foot-7 center and Tucson native, to its 2025–26 roster. Magot joins the Wildcats after spending two seasons at Texas Tech.
Magot ("UH-Choll MUH-Got") brings size, interior presence, and tremendous long-term upside to the Arizona frontcourt.
At Texas Tech, she redshirted the 2023-24 season and then missed the 2024-25 season due to injury.
Magot prepped locally at Salpointe Catholic, Sunnyside High School, and Southern Arizona Prep, where she developed into a dominant force on both ends of the floor. In 16 games with Southern Arizona Prep, she averaged 13.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.9 blocks, and 1.8 steals per game, recording 10 double-doubles in that span.
A three-time Player of the Game honoree at Southern Arizona Prep, Magot's combination of size, athleticism, and timing made her a defensive anchor and high-efficiency scorer around the basket. She is one of the tallest women's basketball players to come out of Arizona high school hoops in recent years.
