LAWRENCE, Kan. – Arizona Track & Field is set to compete in their first ever Big 12 Outdoor Championships on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
The competition will be hosted by Kansas at Rock Chalk Park and highlights the Wildcats' first Big 12 Outdoor Championships since joining the conference. The three-day competition will be streamed on ESPN+ ($) and live results can be found

"I am very excited to see what our program is capable of doing at our first Big 12 Outdoor Championships," said the Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
Fred Harvey. "We have nine event groups that are ranked in top 25 in the country. We have a great opportunity to challenge for a title; we just need to do what we've been doing all year."
The Wildcats were last in action at the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson. On senior night, the Wildcats won six events, totaled 16 top three finishes, and posted numerous personal bests. Additionally,
Zach Extine broke the school record in the all-conditions 110m hurdles and the women's 4x100m relay team of
Ava Simms,
McKenna Watson,
Dakota Minor, and
Jade Brown broke the school record in the event. Event winners at the meet included Extine in the 110m hurdles,
Zach Landa in the shot put,
Reinaldo Rodrigues in the long jump,
Kelly Lyn Wetteland in the 3000m, the men's 4x100m relay team, and the women's 4x400m relay team.
Heading into the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, the Wildcats have 24 athletes ranked in the top eight that are projected to score at the meet. Additionally, 11 Wildcats are ranked in the top 25 nationally.
At the Big 12 Indoor Championships, seniors
Zach Landa (shot put) and
Trayvion White-Austin (200m) became the program's first ever Big 12 Champions. Landa also finished runner-up in the weight throw and was named the 2025 Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championship Men's High Point Performer. Overall, the Wildcats placed seventh in the team competition for both the men and women.

Zach Landa – ranks third in the NCAA and first in the Big 12 in the shot put; ranks 19th in the NCAA and third in the Big 12 in the discus.
Reinaldo Rodrigues – ranks fourth in the NCAA and first in the Big 12 in the long jump.
4x100m Relay – ranks 14th in the NCAA and first in the Big 12.
Youssef Koudssi – ranks 17th in the NCAA and second in the Big 12 in the discus.
Brian Limage – ranks 20th in the NCAA and first in the Big 12 in the 200m.
Jesse Avina –fifth in the Big 12 in the javelin.
Sam Hala'ufia – ranks fifth in the Big 12 in the discus.
Tyson Tippett – ranks sixth in the Big 12 in the 100m.
Michael Ogbeiwi – ranks seventh in the Big 12 in the hammer throw.
James Onanubosi – ranks seventh in the Big 12 in the 100m.
Yan Vazquez – ranks eighth in the Big 12 in the 400m hurdles.
WOMEN
Jade Brown – ranks sixth in the NCAA and second in the Big 12 in the 100m.
Paris Mikinski – ranks eighth in the NCAA and second in the Big 12 in the high jump.
Antonia Sanchez Nunez – ranks 11th in the NCAA and second in the Big 12 in the 400m hurdles.
Tapenisa Havea – ranks 20th in the NCAA and fifth in the Big 12 in the discus; ranks fifth in the Big 12 in the shot put.
Jenica Bosko – ranks 25th in the NCAA and fourth in the Big 12 in the long jump.
Ava Simms – ranks third in the Big 12 in the 400m.
McKenna Watson – ranks third in the Big 12 in the 200m; ranks seventh in the Big 12 in the 100m.
4x400m Relay – ranks third in the Big 12.
Taylen Wise – ranks fourth in the Big 12 in the 100m hurdles; ranks seventh in the Big 12 in the long jump.
Mackenna Orie – ranks sixth in the Big 12 in the shot put.
