TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track & Field concluded their outdoor regular season on Saturday with the Desert Heat Classic at Drachman Stadium.

The meet included a senior presentation ceremony, where the team honored 15 athletes and two managers for their contributions to the program.

On senior night, the team posted numerous outstanding performances. In total, the Wildcats won six events and had 16 top three finishes, including multiple personal bests, season bests, and all-time performances in school history.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
Zach Landa won the men's shot put with a throw of 65-11.5 (20.10m), which came on his last attempt of the competition. This marks back-to-back competitions where the senior has thrown over 20m. The win also wrapped up a day where Landa posted personal bests in the discus and hammer throw as well. Additionally,
Sam Hala'ufia placed sixth with a personal best throw of 60-9.25 (18.52m),
Tyler Michelini finished eighth with a mark of 58-8.5 (17.89m).

Reinaldo Rodrigues won the men's long jump, posting a personal best leap of 26-5 (8.05m). That mark is third all-time in school history and marks the first time that Rodrigues has surpassed 8m in the event in his career.

The Wildcats finished second and third overall in the women's shot put.
Tapenisa Havea placed runner-up with a season best toss of 53-7.5 (16.34m), and
Mackenna Orie placed third with a mark of 52-9.5 (16.09m). Additionally,
Lauryn Love finished eighth in the event with a mark of 49-9.25 (15.17m).

In the men's discus,
Zach Landa placed third overall with a personal best heave of 194-11 (59.41m), which is 10th all-time in school history.
Sam Hala'ufia placed fifth, also posting a personal best throw of 191-0 (58.23m).

Erin Tack placed fourth overall in the women's javelin, posting a big personal best throw of 158-8 (48.37m). That mark moves Tack to third all-time in school history in the event.
Aislin Martinez-Pompa finished ninth in the event as well.

Jenica Bosko placed fourth overall in the women's long jump with a season best leap of 20-9.75 (6.34m).

In the men's hammer throw,
Zach Landa launched a big personal best toss of 203-11 (62.15m) to place fifth overall.

Jesse Avina placed fifth overall in the men's javelin with a throw of 224-3 (68.54m).

Freshman
Jathiyah Muhammad tied for seventh place in the women's pole vault, clearing a height of 13-7.75 (4.16m). Additionally,
Oli Clark cleared an all-time personal best height in the event. The competition winner broke the NCAA record and the Drachman Stadium facility record in the event.

In the women's hammer throw,
Mackenna Orie placed seventh overall with a mark of 183-4 (55.88m).
Tapenisa Havea finished 10th with a personal best mark of 170-11 (52.10m).

Sylvan Osman cleared a personal best height of 16-6.75 (5.05m) in the men's pole vault.
Â
Alexandra Johnson matched her personal best mark in the women's high jump.

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
The Wildcats kicked off the day fast on the track, starting with
Zach Extine's win in the men's 110m hurdles. Extine clocked an all-conditions school record time and Drachman Stadium facility record time of 13.17 (+2.4). On senior day, the senior won the event with a mark that currently ranks second in the NCAA this season. Additionally,
Bogdan Vidojkovic clocked an all-conditions personal best time of 13.87 (+2.4).

In the women's 4x100m relay, Arizona's team of
Ava Simms,
McKenna Watson,
Dakota Minor, and
Jade Brown broke the school record with a time of 44.17. The team placed fourth overall in the competition. The team now holds four of the top 10 all-time performances in school history in the event. The previous program record was 44.27 from 2014.

Arizona won the men's 4x100m relay, clocking a season best time of 38.89 which is third all-time in school history. The team was comprised of
James Onanubosi,
Brian Limage,
Isaac Davis, and
Tyson Tippett.

To close the meet, the Arizona Women won the 4x400m relay with a season best time of 3:34.72. The team was made up of
Ava Simms,
Keilee Hall,
Camila Aguilar-Perez,
Antonia Sanchez Nunez.

Triathlete
Kelly Lyn Wetteland won the women's 3000m, clocking a personal best time of 9:36.64. Her fellow triathlete,
Molly Lakustiak, placed third with a time of 9:49.40.
Ellison Wolfe ran a PB time to finish sixth, Brookly Hanania placed seventh, Gabriella Lemes finished eighth, and Dana Prikrylova ended in ninth.
Sage Patzer ran a personal best time in the event as well.

In a fast and windy women's 100m,
Jade Brown finished runner-up with a time of 11.12 (+2.3) and
McKenna Watson placed third with an all-conditions personal best time of 11.23 (+2.3). Senior
Jenica Bosko finished in fifth with an all-conditions PB of 11.41 (+2.3). Additionally, four other Wildcats clocked all-conditions personal bests in the event:

Morgan Rhett.

McKenna Watson ran a personal best time of 23.00 to finish second overall in the women's 200m. That mark is second all-time in school history and just 0.09 seconds off the program record. Additionally,
Jade Brown matched her personal best in the event of 23.25 and placed fourth.
Esther Akinlosotu ran a personal best time as well.

In the men's 100m,
Tyson Tippett placed third with a season best time of 10.24 and
James Onanubosi finished fourth with an all-conditions personal best time of 10.28 (+2.4).

Antonia Sanchez Nunez clocked a time of 56.72 to finish runner-up in the women's 400m hurdles.
Keilee Hall ran a personal best time of 57.93 and placed fifth in the event as well. Additionally,
Brooke Nordman finished 10th, running a PB time of 58.66.

In the men's 200m,
Brian Limage posted a time of 20.79 and placed third overall.
Tyson Tippett finished ninth with a time of 21.14, and
Zach Extine clocked a personal best time of 21.38.

Ava Simms clocked a personal best time of 52.41 and placed fifth overall. That mark moves Simms up to seventh all-time in school history. In the men's 400m,
Isaac Davis placed sixth overall with a time of 46.41.

Dunja Sikima clocked a personal best time of 2:12.49.

Taylen Wise placed eighth with a time of 13.68.

Julius Cheek ran a personal best time of 53.30 in the event as well.
