AZUSA, Calif. & WALNUT, Calif. – Arizona Track & Field completed the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational on Saturday.
The team competed at both the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational. Both competitions featured some of the top teams and athletes in the nation. Overall, the team posted four event wins with ten podium finishes. The weekend was highlighted by freshman
Anja Maraz and
Lawi Ngetich breaking the freshman records in their events. Maraz set the freshman record in the women's long jump with a jump of 42-9.5 (13.04m). Ngetich set the freshman record in the 1500m with a time of 3:38.14.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
Emily Psarras won the women's javelin with a personal best throw of 148-6 (45.28m), putting her at #8 All-Time in program history.
Jett Kinder won the men's javelin with a throw of 212-6 (64.77m).
Canon Kinder finished fourth in the event with a personal best throw of 189-6 (57.77m)
Moses Hala'Ufia won the men's discus with a throw of 176-7 (53.82m).
Richard Legarra finished runner-up in the event with a throw of 174-3 (53.11m).
Sam Hala'Ufia won the men's shot put with a throw of 61-4.75 (18.71m).
Michael Ogbeiwi finished eighth in the event with a throw of 53-7.5 (16.34m).
Anja Maraz finished second in the women's triple jump with a personal best jump of 42-9.5 (13.04m), breaking the program freshman record and putting her at #2 All-Time in program history.
Sydnie Vanek finished second in the women's long jump elite with a jump of 21-0.5 (6.41m).
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
Lawi Ngetich finished 11th in the men's elite 1500m with a personal best time of 3:38.14, breaking the program freshman record and putting him at #3 All-Time in program history.
Evans Tanui finished third in the men's 5000m with a personal best time of 13:31.67, putting him at #4 All-Time in program history.
Vincent Gwachi finished seventh in the men's 1500m with a personal best time of 3:39.76, putting him at #5 All-Time in program history.

McKenna Watson finished third in the women's 4x100m with a season-best time of 44.03, putting them at #2 All-Time in program history.
