TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track & Field concluded its senior night on Saturday with the Desert Heat Classic at Drachman Stadium.
The meet included a senior presentation ceremony, where the team honored 18 athletes and two managers for their contributions to the program.
On senior night, the team posted numerous outstanding performances. In total, the Wildcats won two events and had 13 top-three finishes, including multiple personal bests, season bests, and all-time performances in school history. The meet was highlighted by the women's 4x100m relay team of
Zakiya Hill,
Brooke Lyons,
Taylen Wise, and
McKenna Watson, who tied the school record with a time of 43.96.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
In the women's high jump,
Paris Mikinski finished second with a height of 6-0 (1.83m), equaling her season best.
Emma Gates finished fourth in the event with a height of 5-10 (1.78m), and
Kya Crooke finished sixth with a height of 5-10 (1.78m).
In the men's hammer throw,
Tyler Michelini finished fourth with a throw of 207-0 (63.11m).
Michael Ogbeiwi finished eighth in the event with a season-best throw of 192-6 (58.69m).
In the women's javelin,
Emily Psarras finished seventh with a personal best throw of 163-9 (49.92m), moving her to #5 all-time in program history.
In the men's discus,
Sam Hala'Ufia finished fourth with a throw of 179-6 (54.73m).
Richard Legarra finished seventh with a throw of 168-1 (51.25m), and
Moses Hala'Ufia finished eighth with a throw of 167-1 (50.94m).
In the women's discus,
Tapenisa Havea finished fifth with a throw of 164-10 (50.25m).
In the men's shot put,
Tyler Michelini finished fifth with a throw of 62-7.25 (19.08m).
Sam Hala'Ufia finished sixth with a throw of 60-6.5 (18.45m).
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
The day started on the track with the men's 4x100m relay, where the Wildcats finished fourth with a season-best time of 38.93. The relay of

John Paredes,
Parker Duskin, and
Mason Lawyer moved to #6 all-time in program history.
In the women's 4x100m relay, the Wildcats finished third with a season-best time of 43.96. The relay of
Zakiya Hill,
Brooke Lyons,
Taylen Wise, and
McKenna Watson tied the program record set back in 2025.
In the men's 110m hurdles,
John Paredes finished third with a personal best time of 13.41. This run moves him to #2 all-time in program history.
Parker Duskin finished fourth with a personal best time of 13.62.
In the women's 100m hurdles,
Hollan Powers finished third with a personal best time of 13.28. This run moves her to #9 all-time in program history.
Taylen Wise finished fifth with a time of 13.40.
Mason Laywer finished third in the men's 100m with a time of 10.22. This run moves him to #5 all-time in program history.
Yan Vazquez won the men's 400m hurdles with a personal best time of 49.85. This run moves him to #2 all-time in program history.
Brooke Nordman finished second in the women's 400m hurdles with a personal best time of 58.10.
In the men's 200m,
James Onanubosi finished second with a personal best time of 20.50. This run moves him to #5 all-time in program history.
Mason Lawyer finished third with a season-best time of 20.52, moving him to #7 all-time in program history.
In the women's 200m,
McKenna Watson finished third with a season-best time of 23.10.
Brooke Lyons finished sixth with a personal best time of 23.25.
In the men's 5000m, the Wildcats swept the top four.
Evans Tanui won the event with a time of 13:58.92.
Vincent Gwachi finished second with a time of 14:19.04.
Michael Urbanski finished third with a time of 14:58.60.
Max Liao finished fourth with a time of 15.13.35.

The team will next be in action on May 14-16 for the Big 12 Outdoor Championships at Drachman Stadium in Tucson, Ariz.
