2016 (XC): Roth competed in three events over the 2016 season and managed to finish in the top-3 for the team in each race. Roth took third-place at the ASU Invitational and was the top Wildcat in the race. Roth went on to finish in 60th overall in the Pac-12 Championships.

2016: Indoors, Roth competed in both the mile and 3,000-meter race last season. He set his career personal best in the 3000-meter at the Armory Track Invite when he ran it in an impressive 8:13.72, good enough to place second. Roth also set a career personal best in the mile at the Don Kirby Invite with a time of 4:15.39 ... Outdoors, Roth had seven top-15 finishes in 3,000-meter steeplechase, with four placing in the top-five. At the NCAA Championships he set a personal best and Arizona freshman record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:37.38, good enough for a 13th-place finish and second-team All-America honors. His highest finish of the season came at the Jim Bush Invite, where he came in first with a time of 8:59.38. He also competed in both the 1,500-meter and 3,000-meter race, placing sixth in both.

2015: Indoors, Roth ran the mile in 4:16.83 at the Armory Track Invite and finished in 16th place … Clocked a time of 8:34.02 in the 3K at the Husky Classic … Redshirted during the outdoor season … Competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the USA Jr. Championships in Eugene, Ore. on June 27 … Roth took the title with a time of 9:08.70 and earned a spot on team USA for the World Junior Pan-American Games.

HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Coronado High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. … Roth was named team captain of the cross country and track and field teams his senior year … He was named the team’s most valuable player all four years of his career … As a freshman, Roth was the New Balance Nationals champion in the freshman mile with a time of 4:20 … As a sophomore, Roth was a 3A Georgia State Champion in cross country … During his junior year, he was a member of the cross country state championship team … He was Colorado State Champion in the 1,600-meter race and 3,200-meter race on the track … At the New Balance Nationals, Roth won another championship … He competed for Team USA at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Ukraine and finished in seventh place overall in the 2,000-meter steeplechase … As a senior, Roth won the Colorado State Championship in the 3,200-meter race … He won the USA Junior Championship in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, qualifying for the IAAF World Junior Championships …His time of 8:47.04 in the final of the event at the IAAF World Junior Championships, is the American High School Record … Roth also holds the American High School Record in the 2,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 5:41.

PERSONAL: He is the son of Brian and Jill Roth … He has two brothers, Daniel and Briley and four sisters, Kelsey, Gabby, Faith and Maggie … His dad, Brian, was a member of the Nebraska Cornhuskers track and field team … He started walking at four months old and ran a mile along his dad at age one … He has yet to declare a major.
