Prep: A graduate of Sahuaro High School in Tucson … Simmons was a four-year letterwinner and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player her senior year … She earned all-conference honors her sophomore, junior and senior year … Simmons earned all-city accolades all four years of her career … Her senior year, Simmons was an Division II all-state honoree … She led her to team the semifinals of the Arizona State Championships.

Personal: She is the daughter of Gerry Simmons and Kimberly Cicib … She has one brother, Gerry, and a sister, Khadijah.
