STANFORD, Calif. - The Arizona men's tennis team fell to the No. 6-ranked Stanford Cardinal, 5-2, Friday, Feb. 27. Arizona lost all three doubles points, while only winning two singles matches. Arizona falls to 6-4, while Stanford improves to 7-2.

In doubles competition, Arizona lost the doubles point for only the third time thus season as Stanford swept the doubles matches. Competing in the No. 1 position for the second time this season, the No. 23 team of junior Colin O'Grady and sophomore Roger Matalonga fell for the first time this season, after their loss to KC Corkery and Sam Warburg, 8-3. On court two, junior Paul Warkentin and sophomore Daniel Andrus lost to James Pade and James Wan, 8-3. The senior team of Whi Kim and Tom Lloyd fell in a close match to Carter Morris and Phil Sheng, 9-8.

In singles, Matalonga and O'Grady continue their solid play, each earning a victory. No. 66 Matalonga defeated James Pade, 6-1, 6-2, on court three. In the No. 4 position, O'Grady defeated Sheng, 6-2, 6-2.

Arizona will make up its rain-cancelled match against California, Saturday, Feb. 28, in Berkeley, Calif. First serve is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
