ORLANDO, Fla.- The Arizona men's tennis team will have to wait until tomorrow to start their spring season as today's match against No. 23 Texas Tech couldn't be completed due to rain. The Wildcats will take on The University of New Mexico tomorrow at 4 p.m. MST at the newly opened UTSA National Campus in Orlando. New Mexico will play their first match tomorrow against Texas Tech at 8 a.m. MST.
"The weather didn't allow us to finish our match today," said head coach
Clancy Shields, "but I was happy with our poise thorough the day and our preparation as we made several attempts to get the match in. Our team is moving in the right direction. We have built a lot of positive momentum in our pre-season and need to keep it going with New Mexico tomorrow."
The Wildcats will rest Sunday before facing the University of Central Florida on Monday, January 16 at 8 a.m. MST. Arizona's match with Texas Tech has not yet been rescheduled, but updates will be posted here and tweeted @arizonamtennis.
