ORLANDO, Fla.- The Arizona men's tennis team is headed back to Arizona with a 1-1 record in dual play after a 7-0 loss to the University of Central Florida at the USTA national campus in Orlando, Florida.
The Wildcats headed into Monday's competition coming off of a 4-1 win over the University of New Mexico on Saturday, January 14, a day after their Friday match with No. 23 Texas tech was canceled due to rain.
With their sweep of Arizona, UCF is now 3-0 on the season with victories coming against No. 23 Texas Tech and the University of New Mexico earlier this weekend.
The Wildcats will have a little over two weeks to prepare for their next matches of the season: an exhibition double-header at home against Arizona Christian University (11 a.m. MST) and Mesa Community College (3 p.m. MST) on Sunday, February 5.
