LAS VEGAS – The Wildcats wrapped up the first day of competition at the Rebel Invitational on Friday, Nov. 10 in Las Vegas, Nev.
 
Arizona's competitors included Camila Wesbrooks, Devin Chypyha, Gitte Heynemans, and Sophia Thomas.
 
In doubles, Chypyha/Wesbrooks fell 8-6 to Paalma/Gonzalez of Texas A&M. Heynemans/Thomas defeated Lopez/Kenic of UNLV 8-6.
 
In singles, Chypyha lost a 6-1, 6-1 match to Aiwen Zhu of UNLV. Wesbrooks was defeated by Dorthea Faa Hviding of Texas A&M 2-6, 6-2, 6-0. Heynemans won against GCU's Lana Rinaldi 6-3, 6-3. Thomas won a 7-5, 6-3 match over GCU's Kylie Waschuck.

UP NEXT
Chypyha/Wesbrooks will face Lo Pumo/Buhr of GCU in the #1 Doubles Draw consolation semifinal match. Heynemans/Thomas are set to play GCU's Rinaldi/Occhipinti in the #2 Doubles Draw semifinal.
 
In the #1 Singles Draw, Chypyha will play Texas A&M's Eva Paalma in the consolation semifinal. In the #2 Singles Draw, Wesbrooks is scheduled to battle Celina Buhr of GCU in the consolation semifinal. In the #3 Singles Draw, Heynemans will battle Izumi Asano of UNLV in the semifinal match. In the #4 Singles Draw, Thomas will play a semifinal match against GCU's Kylie Waschuk. Match play is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. MST.
