TUCSON, Ariz. – The 6-4 Arizona men's tennis team is headed to Corpus Christi Texas to compete in the HEB Tennis Tournament along with five other schools: UTSA, TAMU-CC, NMS, DePaul, and South Alabama. The two-day tournament will begin on Friday, March 3rd and be played at either the HEB Tennis Center, or Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Thomas J Henry Tennis Center.
"We are excited to play the HEB tournament this week," said head coach
Clancy Shields. "It is the longest running college team tournament in America and it is an honor to be a part of. We look forward to the challenge of playing three quality teams and a lot of good tennis."
Arizona's first match will be at 9 a.m. MST against the 2-7 UTSA Roadrunners at the HEB Tennis Center. At 4 p.m. the same day, Arizona will face either New Mexico State or Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi at either the HEB Tennis Center or TAMU-CC's Thomas J Henry Tennis Center.
