SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – The 8-7 Arizona men's tennis team is joining seven other teams in San Diego to compete in the three-day San Diego Classic. The Wildcats will be facing No. 30 Tulane on Thursday, March 16 at 10 a.m. MST in USD's Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center.
"We're excited to play another team tournament in San Diego," said head coach
Clancy Shields. "I really liked how we came together in the HEB Tournament and we're looking to build on that this week. We've got some great competition and we'll start against a top 30 team in Tulane. We're looking forward to competing and having three solid matches."
Tulane is currently 10-2 on the season with their only losses coming to now-ranked #13 California (Jan. 28) and #21 Mississippi State (Feb. 24). The Green Wave features three ranked singles players: #38 Constantin Schmitz, #118 Sebastian Rey, and #125 Ewan Moore.
