DENVER - The 8-5 Arizona men's tennis team is in Denver Colorado to take on the University of Denver tomorrow at 1 p.m. MST and No. 45 Cal Poly on Saturday, March 11, also at 1 p.m. MST.
The Wildcats are coming off of a second place finish in the 51st-HEB Tennis Tournament in Corpus Christi Texas. Arizona bested UTSA and New Mexico to make it into the finals, but couldn't upset 28th-ranked Southern Alabama, falling 4-0.
Denver is 4-7 on the season and is looking to rebound from last weekend's 5-2 loss to Princeton on Saturday, March 4th and from their 7-0 loss to Penn the following day. The Pioneers feature the 62nd-ranked doubles team with Seniors Alex Gasson and Yannik James who are 4-3 on the season.
Cal Poly is currently 9-5 on the season and ranked 45th internationally by the Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Mustangs are riding a three-match win streak after winning matches against Pacific, Utah State, and Middle Tennessee on March 5th, 7th, and 8th. Cal Poly seniors No. 85 Ben Donavan and No. 100 Corey Pang also represent the 44th-ranked doubles team in the nation.
