TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona's Track & Field program is represented by 19 student-athletes on this year's Pac-12 All-Academic Team. Three of Arizona's honorees were named to the first team while two more earned second-team honors.

On the men's side,
Aaron Castle was named to the first team for the fourth-consecutive season after earning a 3.78 GPA while studying Biology during his senior year. Castle finished out his college career as a four-time All-American after finishing in 15th place at the NCAA Championships last week.

On the women's side,
Lisanne Hagens earned her third-consecutive first-team honor with a GPA of 3.93 while studying Mechanical Engineering. The incoming senior took 10th place in the high jump at the National Championships last week.

The third and final first-team selection was
Sage Watson, who earned her first Pac-12 All-Academic recognition while sporting a 3.90 GPA studying Marketing. Watson won the 400-meter hurdles National Championship on Saturday by clocking a personal-best time of 54.52.

Additionally on the women's team,
Tiana Bonds and
Jasper Gray were named to the Second Team for their efforts in the classroom. Bonds finished the year with a GPA of 3.80 while studying Special Education & Rehabilitation while Gray, a now three-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection, had a 3.75 GPA while studying Literacy Learning & Leadership.

It was quite the semester for the Track Cats as the women's team had a GPA of 3.22 while the men's team had a GPA of 2.99, which are both records for the spring semester. Eight women and four men had GPAs of 4.0 while 21 women and 15 men had a GPA of 3.0 or better.
