2016: Indoors, competed in the shot put at a total of five meets where he only failed to place in the top-10 one time at the Lumberjack Team Challenge where he finished 11th overall. His season-best mark came at the Power 5 Invitational where Castle placed fifth with a mark of 60 ft. - 10 in. (18.54m). At the MPSF Championships, Castle finished in seventh-place with a mark of 60 ft. – 3.75 in. (18.38m) ... Outdoors, in the shot put, Castle enjoyed six top-five and nine top-ten finishes throughout the outdoor season. He also had five top-seven finishes in the discus throw, where Castle managed to set a new career high at 178 ft. – 10 in. (54.50m) at the ASU Invitational for a fourth-place finish. Castle had a season-best mark in the shot put at the NCAA West Prelims with a mark of 62 ft. - 1.75 in. (18.94m) for a sixth-place finish. At the Pac-12 Championships, Castle finished in seventh-place in the shot put and in 13th for the discus. Castle went on to earn a ticket to the NCAA Championships in the shot put where he finished 15th overall for second-team All-America honors.
2015: Indoors, Castle competed in the shot put in six events during the indoor season … He set a personal-best toss at the MPSF Championships with a mark of 62-10.75 (19.17m), good for a second-place finish … Took first place at the NAU Tune Up with a toss of 61-10.25 (18.85m), which was his second-best mark of the indoor season … Earned a second-place finish at the UW Invitational with a toss of 60-9.5 (18.52) … Outdoors, he set a personal best at the Jim Click Shootout in the shot put with a toss of 62-3 (18.97m) and earned a second-place finish … Tossed a mark of 61-9.5 (18.83m) at the Pac-12 Championships and advanced to the NCAA West Regionals … Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the shot put in Eugene, Ore. by taking 12th place at the NCAA West Regionals with a toss of 61-3 (18.66m) … Finished the year at the NCAA Championships by taking 16th place in the shot put with a toss of 61-8.5 (18.80m), the third best mark of the outdoor season … He also competed in the discus throw at the Pac-12 Championships and took 16th place with a mark of 153-4 (46.73).
2014: Indoors, Castle’s personal-best toss of 62-0.25 (18.90m) in the men’s shot put came at the MPSF Championships where he finished in second place overall … Castle threw over 60-0 in five of the six competitions during the indoor season … He threw 60-11.5 (18.58m) at the Cherry & Silver Invitational … Outdoors, Castle’s personal-best toss came at the LSU Alumni Gold when he earned a runner-up finish with a toss of 60-5.75 (18.43m) in the shot put … At the Pac-12 Championships, Castle threw 60-3 (18.36m) and finished in second place overall … He qualified for the NCAA West Preliminaries and finished in 11th place overall with a toss of 60-4 (18.39m) … At the NCAA Championships, Castle finished in 22nd place overall, throwing 57-4.75 (17.49m) … His season-best toss of 167-8 (51.10m) in the discus came at the Jim Click Shootout.
