Former Wildcat
Charlotte Brascia has decided to continue her soccer career in Sweden with Skövde KIK. Brascia will be the fifth American player that has signed with the team and will be heading over to Europe this summer.
"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be able to continue my career for Skövde KIK," Brascia said. "I have always wanted to play and travel abroad, so this is a dream come true. I plan to work hard, represent Arizona Soccer, and make the most out of my time in Sweden."
Brascia made a large impact for Arizona women's soccer in the 76 matches she played in. She finished her career with seven goals, seven assists, 91 shots and 21 points.
Brascia was also part of a legendary senior class. As a whole, they appeared in three NCAA tournaments and had 45 wins as a class, which is the most in a four-year stretch in program history. Additionally, Arizona hosted the first round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history during her time at Arizona: once during her sophomore year and once her senior year.
"We are really happy for Charlotte," head coach
Tony Amato said. "She made an impact in all of our games this past season and I know she will do the same for Skövde KIK. She has grown tremendously in her four years at Arizona and I think this is a great opportunity for her. She has all the tools to be successful in Sweden and I am looking forward to following her progress."
Brascia will head out to Sweden to start training at the end of July.
"This would not be possible without the unwavering support of my family. I would like to thank my coaches at Arizona and my coaches in Las Vegas. Thank you for believing in me and preparing me for the next level."
