Ziverts and Malbasic Finish Up All-American Tournament in Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. - Sophomore Jonas Ziverts and junior Filip Malbasic wrapped up the ITA All-American tournament on Sunday. They combined for a 4-3 record in singles and a 1-1 record in doubles.

Malbasic and Ziverts started the week in the qualifying draw for doubles, winning their first qualifying match. They did not qualify for the main draw, finishing with a 1-1 record. In singles play, Malbasic posted a 1-1 record in the tournament, winning his first game in the main draw. He played against one ranked opponent, No.16 Hady Habib from Texas, and lost in a three set struggle.

Ziverts lost his first match in the main draw, but won three straight in the consolation bracket, finishing with a 3-2 record. He also took down two ranked opponents over the course of the tournament, finishing 2-1 against ranked opponents in the tournament.
