MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Arizona Junior Brooks Fail highlighted the the Cats' second day at the Minnesota Invitational by placing second in the men's 500 free. 

Fail placed 2nd with a time 4:11.79, also qualifying for an NCAA A cut. That marked the nation's fastest time this fall and is the program's fourth-fastest in program history. Fail had the top prelim time (4:12.17) of the morning before placing 2nd in the final. 

Senior Ayumi Macias placed 4th in the women's 500 free final with a time of 4:42.46

The Cats' had a total of 17 NCAA "B" cuts and 1 "A" cut on the day:

Tomorrow at Day 3 of the Minnesota Invitational the Cats will compete in the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, and 200 free relay events. Preliminaries will start at 9 a.m. (MST) with finals starting at 5 p.m. (MST)
