Playing for the Arizona women's tennis team from 2011-2015 is former Wildcat Laura Oldham. Oldham currently resides in New York working for MNI-Meredith as a Digital Media Planner. ArizonaWildcats.com sat down with Oldham to discuss how her time at Arizona led her to where she is now.
Oldham's day to day role is to help clients implement digital media campaigns.Â
"I am responsible for working with partners such as Hulu, Spotify, Amazon and Zillow to build out digital media plans that will help the client achieve their goals," Oldham said. "We work with over 1,000 clients in all sorts of industries, one of our client's is actually the Pac-12 conference."
Oldham says that her experience at Arizona allowed her to develop team work, time management and personable skills which are necessary in a business environment.Â
"Things are always changing with digital media and new technology is always being developed," she said. "Being on the tennis team allowed me to develop time management skills and set me up for working in a fast-paced environment. Not only that, but the classes in the Eller College of Management gave me a great background in all business areas such as management, finance, entrepreneurship and accounting which is always super helpful when transitioning into the business world."Â
Oldham is happy to work in a fun role and fast paced environment. Be sure to check back next week for our next 'Where Are They Now' segment featuring former player Shayne Newman.
