TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (27-13, 12-8) rallies fell short as the Arizona State Sun Devils (20-20, 9-8) took an 8-5 game two victory to even the series on Saturday night.
Right fielder
Tanner O'Tremba led the Wildcats on offense, putting together a 4-for-5 performance that included two runs, a double, and a solo home run in the eighth inning. His four-hit performance put him in the team lead with a .373 batting average.
Starting pitcher
Chandler Murphy (1-2) took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits across three innings of work.
Right-hander
Jonathan Guardado finished the game for Arizona with two scoreless frames. He did not allow a hit and struck out two to keep the Wildcats in striking distance.
