TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona Swimming and Diving was defeated in the pool today by Cal with final scores of 98-187 on the men's side and 94-199 on the women's side.  
 

Despite the meet's outcome, several Cats had notable performances in today's matchup. Freshman Haakon Naughton took first place in the men's 100 and 200 fly, with times of 48.25 seconds and 1:46.96. Senior Ryan Purdy also took a first-place spot in the men's 100 back, with a time of 48.91 seconds.  
 

Diving 

Bjorn Markentin placed first in the men's 3-meter event, besting his opponent by over 35 points.

The Cats are set to take on Stanford tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. MST at Hillenbrand for their last home meet of the season. The dual will include Arizona's Senior Day ceremony, which will take place before the meet beginning at 10:20 a.m.  The competition will be streamed on Arizona Swimming and Diving's Instagram, and live results will be available on Meet Mobile.
