TUCSON, Ariz. - The student-athletes for the month of December 2023 have been announced by C.A.T.S. Academics and the honorees include Maki Bispham (Beach Volleyball), Devyn Netz (Softball), Sam Sommerhauser (Men's Golf) and Jai-Ayviauynn Celestine (Football).

Year: Senior
Sport: Beach Volleyball
Hometown: Montreal, Quebec
Maki has been a leader on the team and in the classroom her entire time she's been a Wildcat. Across the nation, whether at conferences or leading the beach volleyball team, she has represented the University of Arizona with hard work, determination and dedication to being better than she was the day before and helping others. "Devyn is one of the most dedicated student-athletes to her academics and to her sport, Softball. She is always asking questions, consistently in communication, and is always on top of her responsibilities. Sam Sommerhauser, Men's Golf, is a Senior Marketing major and has excelled academically over his entire academic career. "Jai-Ayviauynn arrived on campus January 2022 and is currently a Junior. He has always put care and effort into his studies, but this semester he took his academic independence and commitment to a new level.
