URBANA, Ill.- Arizona secured a 7-0 win at Eastern Illinois on Saturday, getting straight set wins across all six singles matches.
Arizona won the doubles point with wins by Iñaki Cabrera-Bello and Sasha Rozin, who got a 6-0 victory over Pau Riera and Zach White, and Herman Hoeyeraal and Eric Padgham. Hoeyeraal and Padgham defeated Jon William Karlstad and Cameron Slabbert, 6-1.
Hoeyeraal posted his second win of the day in singles, defeating Riera 6-0, 6-1. Nick Lagaev was the next to victory, getting a 6-1, 6-0 win over Tyler Carlin. The win tied Lagaev for the most career single wins in program history at 86.
Cabrera-Bello added to Wildcats' score with a 6-1, 6-1 win over White before Padgham defeated William Hays 6-1, 6-2. Casper Christensen was the fifth Wildcat with a singles victory, taking down Slabbert 6-0, 6-3. Sash Rozin capped off the sweep or Arizona with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Thomas Wallace.
The Wildcats take on No.11 Illinois Sunday, March 10th at 12:00 p.m. MST.
