TUCSON, Ariz. – With the highly anticipated 2024 football season drawing closer to the Wildcats' opening game in Arizona Stadium on Aug. 31 against New Mexico, Arizona Athletics has announced a number of improvements and enhancements to the football gameday fan experience.

A fan survey conducted after the conclusion of last season showed that fans are seeking new concessions options, more use of video replay on the video board and increased fan engagement during the game, among several areas.

In response to the feedback, Arizona Athletics is implementing many new enhancements to gameday, including in these five areas:

Concession Food Offerings
- New food vendors on the west side ground level include Rudy's BBQ, Chick-Fil-A, Cactus Confections Fresh Lemonade and Kettle Corn and Mustache Pretzels.
- On the middle level on the east side of the stadium and the top level on the west side, new options include the "Big 12 Dog" and the "BearDown Burger" along with Elote Bites as well as pizza from The Pie Spot located near the ZonaZoo
- Hot dogs and bratwursts will be available at the Southside Drink Market, which will allow fans to make one concession stand stop and get back to their seats faster
- New "to-go" boxes made with 100% recycled content will be used this season, providing a more sturdy carrying method to help fans get their food and drinks back to their seats without spills

Addition of New Concession Locations to Reduce Concourse Congestion
- New self-checkout kiosks in the south end zone
- Gate 5 on the south side of the stadium will now be available to fans for entry
- The new "Walk Thru Bru" on the westside ground will offer grab to go drinks iced down, popcorn and peanuts, so you can quickly get back to watching the action on the field sooner
- "Margarita Casitas" will now be in three locations – on the ramps above Gate 4 and Gate 5 and a new location on the top level in the northwest corner

Enhanced Use of Replay and Statistical Information on the Video Board
- Emphasis to show as many replays as possible including additional camera angles available for replay of big plays
- Increased statistical information displayed during the game on the video board

Increased Fan Engagement During the Game
- A new DJ in the stadium who has previously worked with the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks
- New camera equipment that will allow more fans to be featured on the videoboard during the game
- More interactive content during the game to promote fan participation
- Additional fireworks during pregame introductions
- A new and improved light show and pyrotechnics display during the break between the third and fourth quarters

"Cat Cruiser" Rideshare Option for Phoenix Fans
- Two route options for fans from the Phoenix area to ride a charter bus to and from the game
- Arrive at Arizona Stadium two hours prior to kickoff
- Bus departs 30 minutes after the game ends
- Passes can be purchase at a discounted rate for all seven home games

Kickoff for the season-opener against New Mexico on Aug. 31 us at 7:30 p.m. MST and the game will be televised on ESPN. The Wildcats enter the season ranked in the Associated Press Preseason Top 25 for the first time since 2015, checking in at No. 21, coming off of a 10-3 record last year and a win over Oklahoma in the Valero Alamo Bowl.
