TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona Triathlon head coach
Wes Johnson was named the DI CTCA Coach of the Year and Kelly Wetteland,
Margareta Vrablova, and
Ellison Wolfe earned CTCA All-American status, the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association announced during the awards ceremony following the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championship on Saturday.
Johnson led Arizona to its second straight National Championship in the program's third year of existence. During the championship race, Arizona placed five athletes in the top 10 and all seven of Arizona's athletes placed in the top 20. Johnson coached Arizona to four first-place finishes and one second-place finish during the 2025 season.
The top seven overall finishers at the national championship earned first team All-America honors. Wetteland won the individual national championship after placing first during the race. Vrablova finished second and Wolfe placed seventh to earn All-America accolades. Wetteland and Vrablova became two-time All-Americans following their dominant performances at the championship.
