FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arizona Track & Field finished day one of the Tyson Invitational on Friday.
Day one of the competition was highlighted by senior
Zach Extine's win in the men's 60m hurdles invitational, clocking a near school record time of 7.67. The meet, hosted by Arkansas at the Randal Tyson Track Center, features some of the top collegiate and professional athletes in the world.

Zach Extine – First, Men's 60m Hurdles
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
Reinaldo Rodrigues finished sixth overall in the men's long jump invitational with an indoor personal best leap of 25-10 (7.87m). Rodrigues came out strong, with his personal best jump being his first attempt of the competition.
In the men's weight throw,
Michael Ogbeiwi and
Zach Landa finished eight and 10th overall, respectively. Ogbeiwi's best throw on the day was a near personal best mark of 67-11.75 (20.72m). Landa's best was 66-3 (20.19m). In the women's weight throw,
Mackenna Orie posted a throw of 56-5.75 (17.21m).
In the women's long jump,
Jenica Bosko finished 10th overall with a leap of 19-11 (6.07m).
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
Zach Extine clocked a time of 7.75 in the prelims of the men's 60m hurdles invitational to finish fourth and advanced to the event's semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Extine ran a time of 7.73, finished third, and qualified for the event's finals. In the finals, Extine went on to win the event, clocking a time of 7.67 for his second individual event win of the season. Extine's time was right at his personal best and school record time of 7.67. He won by 0.002 seconds.
Bogdan Vidojkovic ran a time of 8.23 in the prelims of the event as well.
In the prelims of the men's 60m invitational,
Trayvion White-Austin ran a time of 6.76 to place 13th and advanced to the event's semi-finals. In the semi-finals, White-Austin clocked a time of 6.75 and placed ninth overall, just narrowly missing out on advancing to the event's finals by one spot.
Taylen Wise and
Hollan Powers both finished in the top 16 in the prelims of the women's 60m hurdles invitational to advance to the event's semi-finals. Wise finished 12th with a time of 8.34 and Powers placed 15th with a time of 8.43. In the semi-finals, Wise ran a time of 8.32 to place 10th overall and Powers clocked a time of 8.45 to finish 14th.
In the prelims of the women's 60m invitational,
Jade Brown posted a time of 7.49. In the non-invitational section of the women's 60m,
McKenna Watson clocked a time of 7.43 to place second.
In the men's 400m invitational,
Isaac Davis clocked a time of 47.77. In the women's 400m invitational,
Antonia Sanchez Nunez ran a personal best time of 53.72 and
Ava Simms finished with a time of 54.07.

The Tyson Invitational continues on Saturday, with field events starting at 9:30 a.m. MST and running events beginning at 9:45 a.m. MST. The competition can be streamed on the SEC Network+ ($)
