Wildcats Grab 10-0 Run-Rule Victory Over New Mexico

Third-year freshman Kenan Elarton made the start for Arizona, his collegiate debut. The right-hander worked three scoreless, three-hit innings while striking out a trio of Lobo batters. He did not factor into the decision.
Three right-handed relievers — Carson Johson, Garrett Hicks, and Raul Garayzar — combined to cover the final four innings and held New Mexico scoreless. The trio issued zero walks, allowed just one hit, and struck out three. Johnson, who also made his collegiate debut, earned the win.
Second baseman Garen Caulfield opened the scoring for Arizona with a Little League home run in the fourth inning, plating two on a triple and skating home on a New Mexico error.
Catcher Adonys Guzman hit his first home run of the season, a towering three-run shot to left field, in the fifth inning to break the game open.
