Men's Tennis to Face No. 2 TCU and No. 17 Baylor

FORT WORTH, Texas- No. 15 Men's Tennis (15-3 overall, 0-1 Big 12) is back on the road for a weekend in Texas where they'll face off against reigning National Champions and No. 2 TCU Friday, March 21, at 3:30 p.m. MST, and No. 17 Baylor on Sunday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m. MST. 

The Wildcats are looking to bounce back after two losses on the road last week, falling 3-4 against Michigan State and 3-4 in their first conference match against No. 19 Central Florida.

On Tuesday, Arizona tabbed in at No. 15 in the ITA National Team rankings. Two Wildcats made the move up, with Jay Friend bumping up a spot in the singles poll to No. 8, and his doubles team with Eric Padgham jumping over 20 spots to No. 33. 

Arizona will kick off the Big 12 weekend in Fort Worth, home of Texas Christian University. The last meeting between the Cats and the Horned Frogs was in 2020, where TCU won 4-0. This will be the fifth match between the two teams. The Frogs currently have the No. 2 singles player, Pedro Vives, and the No. 1 doubles team, Vives and Lui Maxted. 

On Sunday, the Cats will head over to Waco for their match up against the Bears. The last meeting between Arizona and Baylor was last season at ITA Kickoff, where the Cats won 4-2 to advance to the National Indoor Championships.
