TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 8 Arizona Men's Tennis (14-1) extends their win streak to nine after taking down Tulsa 5-2 Sunday afternoon at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
The Cats set out for their third match of the weekend against the Hurricanes with doubles play. Arizona picked up a 6-2 win on court two from freshmen
Glib Sekachov and
Filip Gustafsson before dropping matches on courts one and three.
Down 0-1, Arizona had to win four in order to secure the win over Tulsa. Finishing first in singles play was No. 9
Jay Friend, who dominated the Hurricane's top player, Alex Okonkow, 6-2, 6-0. Friend leads the Cats with a 12-0 dual-match singles record.

Zoran Ludoski lost his match 2-6, 1-6 on court two, giving Tulsa the 2-1 lead.
With a fight on their hands, the Cats battled on the four remaining courts to take home the win. Leveling the score was sophomore
Alexander Rozin on court four with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Tulsa's Nikola Puntaric. Giving Arizona the lead was freshman Matthias Kask with a 6-4, 6-4 win on court six over Gus Tettamble. Securing the win was
Casper Christensen next door on court five, winning 6-2, 6-4 over Reiya Komagata.
Arizona played out their last match on court three, where
Filip Gustafsson won 7-6(3), 6-0 to round out the day.
The Cats will hit the road this week for matches against Kalamazoo College and Michigan State on Thursday, March 13. On Sunday, March 16, Arizona will kick off Big 12 play against No. 13 Central Florida.
