High School: A four-year letterwinner at Great Oak High School under coaches David Mercado and Brian Todd … Tabbed as all-state and all-conference as a senior … In her senior year, awarded team passion award, team MVP award, United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award … All-Inland Softball team 2013 … First-team all CIF South Division 1 as a senior … Batted .500 with a .549 OBP and .721 slugging percentage while driving in 23 runs … Four-year scholar athlete … Led team to its first ever league championship her senior year and to a national ranking of 54th … Led club team So. Cal Athletics to five consecutive national championships … Named all-league all four years, including first-team citations in each of her final three seasons.

Sister, Danica (19), plays softball at Oregon … Uncle Richard Mercado played baseball at Arizona from 2002-2004 … Is undecided in area of study at Arizona … Chose Arizona over Washington, UCLA, Florida, Oregon, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Cal, Michigan, Nebraska and UCSB because “this has always been my dream school since I was a little girl.”
