Pitched for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Summer League…Pitched in eight games, including four starts…Pitched 20 1/3 innings, posting a 3.98 ERA and a 1-1 record…Struck out 24, allowed 16 hits and walked just six…Tossed six shutout innings against Chatham in his final start of the summer (7/31)…Struck out six and walked just one…Threw three shutout innings at Orleans (7/27), striking out four…Struck out seven in 3 2/3 innings against Hyannis (7/6).

Arizona 2016
Made 18 appearances with one start…Went a perfect 3-0 with a 4.32 ERA in 16 2/3 innings…Recorded 19 strikeouts and held opposing batters to a .262 batting average…Made two appearances in the postseason, spanning two innings…Tossed two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out three versus UC Riverside (3/29)…Threw two scoreless innings with four strikeouts at USC (4/28) to earn the win…Started against Abilene Christian (5/25), and went 3 1/3 innings, striking out five to earn the win…Also earned a win against San Diego State (2/28)…Tossed a perfect inning at Mississippi State (6/11) in the Super Regionals.

Arizona 2015
Gomez was a strong point in the Arizona bullpen as he posted a record of 2-0 and a 0.86 ERA over 15 appearances and 21 innings … He struck out 19 and walked nine while allowing just two earned runs … Opponents hit .162 against Gomez, which was easily a team-low … Started one game in the last weekend of the series against Abilene Christian and he was phenomenal … Gomez lasted seven innings while allowing just two hits and no runs while striking out a career-high eight batters … Earlier in the year, Gomez earned his first win of his career against New Mexico State on Mar. 4 when he threw 2.1 innings of one-hit baseball … Figures to be an integral part of the pitching staff in 2016.
