Ming appeared in 16 games on the hill for Arizona in 2015 and finished with an ERA of 4.24 over 17 innings … Struck out 10 while walking just three … Recorded three strikeouts in 2.1 innings against North Dakota State on Feb. 18 … His longest outing came against Rice on Feb. 22 when he pitched 3.2 innings and did not allow a run.

Earned varsity letters at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix, Ariz., under coach Jeff Baumgartner … Named to the Arizona Republic Division I All-State team in 2013 and 2014 … Won 20 games as a pitcher with 151 strikeouts in 168 career innings … Also batted .373 over 76 games as a position player, including 36 runs scored and 45 runs batted in … As a junior, posted a 7-1 record on the mound and hit .370 with three home runs … As a senior, batted .398 and turned in a 1.44 ERA along with a 7-3 record.
