Before Arizona: Appeared in six games with the West Virginia Mountaineers in 2024... Made 25 total tackles (19 solo, 6 assists) with one tackle for loss and one pass deflection... Made season-high eight tackles at Pitt (9/14)... Posted one qb hurry on Oct. 5 at Oklahoma State... Only season at WVU was shortened due to injury... Transferred to WVU from Duquesne in January of 2024... In 2023 (Duquesne), played for coach Jerry Schmitt at Duquesne... Started all 12 games and recorded 51 tackles... Finished with a sack and was third on team with five tackles for loss... Led the team with 11 pass breakups... Collected two interceptions, one of which was returned 27 yards for a touchdown, and a fumble recovery... Registered a season-high seven tackles at Youngstown State...  In 2022 (Duqesne), saw action in 10 games and made seven consecutive starts to end season at cornerback... Recorded 33 tackles, made two interceptions, broke up two passes, blocked a kick, had one fumble recovery and forced a fumble... Had five solo tackles and a tackle for loss against Sacred Heart... Made an interception and forced a fumble at Hawaii ... Registered an interception in the season finale win over Wagner... Recovered a fumble versus Merrimack... Nominated for AFCA All-State Good Hands Team for outstanding community service... Redshirted in 2021 at Duquesne. 

High School: Played for coach Jack Muldoon at Monsignor Bonner... Named 2020 Pennsylvania Football Writers’ All-State Class 4A First-Team honoree... Garnered All-Philadelphia Catholic League and All-Eastern Pennsylvania honors... Helped Friars to undefeated season in 2020 and 9-2 mark in 2019... Tallied five tackles and an interception to go with seven receptions for 151 yards and three touchdowns in win over Archbishop Wood as a senior.

Personal: Son of Kevin Garnes and Jerelle Holden... One of two children (1 brother)... Majoring in communication studies... Garrett Ford Academic Honor Roll.
