2018-19: Held the best team time last season in the 100 and 200 free...NCAA B cut in the 50, 100, and 200 free...NCAA A Qualifier in the 200, 400, 800 free relay, and 400 Medley relay...All-American Honorable Mention in the 200 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, and the 400 medley relay...

2017-18: Held the fastest times on the team in the 100 and 200 free, with 42.77 and 1:34.81, respectively…Won the 200 free against Utah…Finished runner-up twice throughout the season, one in each of the 100 and 200 free…Earned an NCAA B cut in the 50 free at the Texas Invitational…Earned three All-American Honorable Mentions in the 400 free relay, 400 medley relay, and 800 free relay…Apart of the 200 and 400 free relay teams, earning an A cut in both events…

2016-17: Earned honorable mention All-America recognition as a member of UA’s 400y freestyle relay and 400y medley relay … Had the fastest 100y freestyle time (43.08) and 200y freestyle (1:35.00) and fourth fastest 50y freestyle (19.90), all NCAA B cuts … Placed sixth at the Pac-12 Championships in the 100y freestyle (43.08) … Tied for 14th at the Pac-12 Championships in the 50y freestyle (19.90) … Finished sixth at the Texas Invitational (1:35.00) and 10th at the Pac-12 Championships (1:35.23) in the 200y freestyle.

Prior to Arizona: Swam for Acuatica Nelson Vargas in Mexico where he was named the best swimmer…Holds his club’s records in the 50m back, 100m back, 50m fly, 50m free and 100m free…Participated in the 2015 AT&T Winter National Championships.

Personal: Born Jorge Andrés Iga in January of 1997 in San Luis Potosí to José Iga and Carolina Cesar…Has two brothers, José and Mauricio, and one sister, Carolina…Planned major in Civil Engineering…Likes to sleep, use Facebook and watch TV in his free time…Chose Arizona because it is “the best place to improve my swimming and grow as a person”.
