Cats to Wrap Up Fall Season at SDSU Fall Classic

TUCSON, Ariz. --- Arizona will conclude its fall season in San Diego this weekend, as the team is set to compete in the SDSU Fall Classic.  The tournament will take place Fri-Sun inside of SDSU's Aztec Center, with doubles play starting at 9 a.m. each day.

The Wildcats will face competition from eight schools: SDSU, UC Irvine, Cal State Northridge, University of San Diego, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Fresno State, Air Force, and Pac-12 foe Colorado.

Arizona heads into this tournament with a 22-20 overall record after going 6-10 at the Jack Kramer Invitational last weekend where the doubles team of junior Samantha Czarniak and senior Inge Hendrikx fought off elimination until falling in the quarterfinals.

The SDSU Fall Classic will provide an opportunity for Arizona to wrap up an already successful fall season on a high note. Junior No. 43 Lauren Marker started the season off strong by beating University of Florida junior No. 38 Kourtney Keegan and has played her way to a 5-3 record. The Cats have also boasted some impressive play from their freshman class, who currently have combined for a singles record of  14-8.
