REMINDER ON NEW CLEAR BAG POLICY FOR ARIZONA ATHLETICS EVENTS
As a follow-up to last week's announcement, Arizona Athletics is instituting a newclear bag policy for all of its venues starting with the men's basketball game on Wednesday, Dec. 9. The policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into our venues. The following is a list of bags that will be accepted for entry:
- Bags that are clear plastic or vinyl and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, after being searched
- Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection, including but not limited to oxygen tanks, diabetes kits, allergy pens, etc.
In order to make this transition as convenient as possible, the University of Arizona BookStores will have clear bags available on the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 7. You can order them online now by clicking HERE. In addition, we will be providing clear Ziploc bags at the five entry points for the next two home men's basketball games (Dec. 9 vs. Fresno St. and Dec. 12 vs. Missouri).

Prohibited bags include but are not limited to:
- Purses larger than a clutch
- Briefcases
- Backpacks
- Fanny packs
- Diaper bags
- Cinch bags
- Luggage of any kind
- Long golf umbrellas
- Cooler bags
- Computer bags
- Camera bags
- Non-approved seat cushions including large traditional seat cushions that have pockets, zippers, compartments or covers
- Any bag larger than the permissible size, unless credentialed personnel carrying such belonging have been thoroughly searched
This is not a restriction on items that you have been able to bring into our venues; it is only a restriction on the type of container used to carry items. Your souvenir cups, unopened water, Kleenex and personal items will all be permitted into the arena if carried in one bag that meets the criteria listed above.
Personal items may be enclosed in a small clutch bag, approximately the size of a hand. These small bags will be searched. The no food and beverage policy will remain in effect, however, medically necessary items will be permitted after proper inspection.
We strongly believe that it made sense to adjust our policy to enhance public safety and make venue access more efficient by limiting the size and style of bags carried into the arena. Our policy has evolved so that we can continue to adjust to the realities of public safety.
We encourage fans to come early and be patient as they enter the arena. We appreciate your cooperation with the clear bag policy.

VOLLEYBALL HEADED TO NCAA TOURNAMENT
We want to congratulate head coach Dave Rubio and our volleyball program on reaching yet another NCAA Tournament. We'll open the tournament on Friday against first-round opponent Western Kentucky at 5 p.m. MST in Provo, Utah. BYU is hosting first and second round action. The Cougars will face Ohio in the first round with the winners set to meet on Saturday at 7 p.m. MST.
This marks our 27th trip, and sixth in the last seven years, to the NCAA Tournament and the 18th time under Dave's leadership. In total, Arizona has been to seven Sweet 16s, four Elite 8s and advanced to the Final Four in 2001.
Good luck and Bear Down.

BOWL UPDATE
As we get closer to the bowl announcements on Sunday, Dec. 6, we want to give you a little info on where we might be headed. Because there are still a lot of moving parts, we can't be certain of our bowl destination, but as it stands now, we could be headed to any of the following: Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl (Cotton Bowl, Dallas, Dec. 26), the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl (Amon G. Carter Stadium, Fort Worth, Dec. 29), or the Gildan New Mexico Bowl (University Stadium, Albuquerque, Dec. 19).
There is also a smaller chance we could be playing in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl (Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, Dec. 23), the Camping World Independence Bowl (Independence Stadium, Shreveport, Dec. 26), or the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl (Arizona Stadium, Tucson, Dec. 29).
With Sunday's pending announcement, Coach Rodriguez will have led the football team to a bowl game in four consecutive years. That's something that has never been done in the 112 years of Arizona football. That is quite an accomplishment when you consider the strength of the Pac-12 Conference the past four years, especially this year, when 10 of the 12 teams are bowl eligible, which is tied for the most of any FBS conference.
We'll have tickets available for purchase through the McKale Ticket Office either Sunday evening or Monday, depending on the bowl we're selected to play in. Please remember, the best way to show your support is to buy tickets through the athletics department. We are responsible for selling a large allotment of tickets. Only bowl tickets purchased through the McKale Ticket Office can help us reach our threshold. In addition, it guarantees you'll be sitting with your fellow Wildcat fans in the Arizona section of the stadium.
FIVE CATS ON PAC-12 ALL-CENTURY FOOTBALL TEAM
The Pac-12 announced its All-Century football team on Monday night and the Wildcats had five former student-athletes included, which was the second most of any team in the conference behind only USC. Defensive end Tedy Bruschi, defensive tackle Rob Waldrop, linebacker Ricky Hunley, and cornerbacks Antoine Cason and Chris McAlister were recognized with this prestigious honor.
Congratulations to this group and the long list of Wildcats that were considered for the All-Century team. We couldn't be prouder of all you've done and all you continue to do in representing Arizona Athletics.

LETTERWINNER PROFILE: STEVE FLEMING
Arizona football letterwinner Steve Fleming played tight end for the Wildcats from 2000-04. Today, he runs his own business, Lean Lifestyle, an online meal delivery service. The company creates a custom service for its clients by portioning, preparing, and delivering meals locally to 200 clients, three nights a week. Steve was inspired to start this business after seeing the importance of eating healthy and how it can affect your performance during his time at the University of Arizona. Once he joined the regular workforce, Steve saw how much harder it was to prepare meals and eat healthy, so he decided to create a super convenient and healthy experience for working professionals.
Steve credits his time as a student-athlete for helping improve his work ethic and learn how to work with different personalities and styles. His best experiences as a football player for UA were playing on the road against some of the top programs in the country and going out with a victory over ASU his senior year. He advises student-athletes to see difficult times as a challenge and not a burden and to have an open mind to all opportunities presented to you. To be successful as a student-athlete, and now an entrepreneur, he has surrounded himself with good people, who know how to work together for a common good. Steve also knows the importance of giving back and passing on the knowledge he possesses to current Wildcats. Steve is active in the A-Club Letterwinners Association and is a current member of the Wildcat Club.

COMPLIANCE CORNER
With the postseason for many of our fall programs having arrived or quickly approaching, we believe this is a perfect time to mention postseason awards. A postseason award is just one of several different types of awards student-athletes receive throughout the year. Awards come from sources such as the University of Arizona, the Pac-12, and even outside groups (such as bowl committees). Regardless of the source, student-athletes cannot sell or trade their awards for other items of value or services. These postseason awards are intended to help memorialize the successes our teams have accomplished over their respective seasons. Best of luck to all of our teams in the postseason.
