IT'S TIME FOR THE SPRING GAME PRESENTED BY ORTHOPROS

We're very excited to host our fans at Arizona Stadium for the Spring Game presented by OrthoPros this Saturday. The fun starts at 2:30 p.m. with a pregame fan fest. We'll have face painters, a photo booth, inflatables, a food truck, an autograph session with letterwinners, and more. The fan fest takes place on Bear Down Field. The spring game starts at 5 p.m. Due to construction, Arizona Stadium's gate 18 (northwest side of Arizona Stadium) will be the only gate used for entrance. Admission to both the fan fest and the spring game are free.

Spring Fling, a UA student-coordinated carnival, is also going this weekend. Plan to arrive early or stay late to check it out. Because of Spring Fling, the UA will charge for parking in some lots. Make sure to visit our webpage for more information, ArizonaWildcats.com/springgame.

Our ticket sales staff will be on site to help fans looking to renew or purchase new season tickets. You can find them at the northwest box office of Arizona Stadium. A reminder, our May 1 renewal deadline is quickly approaching. We hope you will renew or purchase new season tickets for the 2018 season.

THE CATSYS IS SET FOR MONDAY

We're just a few days away from the CATSYS, which is scheduled for Monday, April 16, and we have an exciting announcement. Arizona letterwinner and men's basketball great Miles Simon is going to share hosting duties with Chris 'Geeter' McGee and the Kelley James Band. We may have another special guest involved in the program, but we're still working on logistics and will let you know as soon as we do.

As a reminder, registration is set for 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 6:30 p.m. While floor seats are reserved as a benefit for Wildcat Club members at the silver level and above, admission to McKale is free for anyone who would like to come and enjoy the show. Seating will be available in the stands.

JERRY KINDALL RECOGNITION ON APRIL 21

We will honor legendary coach Jerry Kindall with a celebration when baseball hosts Stanford on April 21 at 7 p.m. The celebration will be a part of the pregame festivities beginning at approximately 6:40 p.m. with his grandson throwing out the first pitch and several members of Kindall's family returning to Hi Corbett to honor the late coach. Our players, coaches and staff have honored Kindall's legacy throughout the 2018 season by wearing a black No. 9 patch on the left sleeve of their jerseys, displaying a "JK" sticker on the back of their batting helmets, and placing a large No. 9 sign above the Wall of Intimidation in right-center field at Hi Corbett. For more information, click HERE and for tickets to the game, click HERE.

BEARD TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING HALL OF FAME

We were excited to learn earlier this week that Olympic champion, world record holder, UA letterwinner and sports icon Amanda Beard is going to be inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on May 19. If you'd like to learn more about Amanda's career and background, click HERE.

In addition to Amanda's honor, our former head swimming coach Frank Busch will also be recognized during the Hall of Fame weekend with one of the annual Paragon Awards. Frank is receiving this award for his outstanding contribution to competitive swimming.

Congratulations on these tremendous honors.

ARIZONA HONORED IN FAN ENGAGEMENT CATEGORY OF THE PAC-12 ZERO WASTE COMPETITION

The Pac-12 announced the winners of the conference's Zero Waste Competition earlier this week and Arizona's student-run campaign earned the nod in the Fan Engagement category. According to the league's press release on the topic, since 2015, Arizona has grown its program to engage the campus community and city of Tucson. The Zero Waste program is almost entirely run by impassioned student activists across several campus sustainability groups, including UA Green Team and Greening the Game. The student groups decided to adopt the entirety of the 2017-18 men's basketball season. Students took over greater leadership roles to implement zero waste efforts, which resulted in 27,580 pounds of recycling, 18,140 pounds of composting and 30,900 pounds of landfill materials for a full-season diversion rate of 59.7 percent.

Congratulations on this recognition and thank you to everyone involved for participating in this important initiative.

For tickets or more information, click HERE or call (520) 621-CATS.
