Assistant coach
Denise Dy and freshman
Khim Iglupas will head to the Philippines to compete in the 2019 South East Asian Games on Nov. 30. The duo will compete for the Philippine National Team.
Dy has competed for them since she was 16- years-old, but never with a former player.
"This will be a great opportunity to work together more and learn about each other on another level," said Dy."We are both excited to represent the country and compete at a high level against pro level players."
This will be Iglupas' third time competing in the SEA Games and is looking forward to competing and traveling alongside Coach Dy.
"I think it will be a fun experience because I have known her for four years and have watched her play doubles," said Iglupas."She is very inspiring. In this year's Games, I think we will be doubles partners and I can't wait to have this opportunity with her."
Iglupas and Dy will be playing teams from Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.
