PHOENIX – The Arizona Wildcats were in Phoenix this afternoon for their first Spring game of the season against BYU at Reach 11 Sports Complex.
 
Hannah Clifford was able to get on the score sheet for the Wildcats with the helping hand from Brooke Wilson, but it was not enough as BYU put three in the back of the net.
 
Last season, Clifford did not score a goal for the Wildcats, but she did have two assists on the season. The incoming junior was a big part of Arizona's success last year and will look to take another step in 2019.
 
Wilson, whose freshman season was cut short due to injury, was on pace to have a tremendous season as she scored three goals and had one assist in nine games last season. She will once again take on a big role in Arizona's front third.
 
Next up for the Wildcats will be Arizona State on Saturday, March 30 in Tempe, Ariz. at 6 p.m. MST. The Wildcats will play one more spring game on Sunday, Apr. 7 against New Mexico at 11 a.m. MST.
