Berkeley, Calif. – Arizona's nine-match win streak has come to an end after falling to the University of California 4-2.  After dropping the doubles point, Filip Malbasic put the Wildcats on the board with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Jacob Brumm. Freshman Jonas Ziverts defeated Yuta Kikuchi 7-5, 6-7, 6-4 on court one before the Golden Bears clinched the victory. 
                     
The 11-2 Wildcats will look to bounce back tomorrow against No. 7 Stanford in a top-25 matchup. Arizona's deep singles lineup will be put to the test tomorrow against No. 8 Axel Geller, No. 32 Alexandre Rotsaert, No.35 Sameer Kumar and No. 56 William Genesen. Last season Stanford defeated the Wildcats 4-0 in the Robson Tennis Center. 
 
"Tough loss tonight, guys fought till the very end and gave it their all," said head coach Clancy Shields. "The points we were successful at we were grittier and the areas we struggled in Cal out toughed us. We have a quick turn around and will have to turn the page for our Stanford match."
 
The No. 21 Arizona Wildcats will wrap up their two-match road trip tomorrow in Stanford Calif. against No. 7 Stanford at 2 pm (MST).
