LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Arizona Men's Tennis team was defeated by No.14 UCLA Saturday afternoon by a score of 4-1.Â
The Bruins struck first in doubles as No. 5 Maxime Cressy and Keegan Smith took the win on court one 6-3 over No. 71
Igor Karpovets and
Jonas Ziverts. UCLA then went on to clinch the doubles point by the same score on court three.Â
The Cats responded back quickly by getting things started in singles with a win from
Carlos Hassey on court five, but that would be all that Arizona would get as UCLA would take the next three matches in singles to secure the match win.Â
With his win on Saturday, Hassey will end the regular season with 14 wins, which is tied second for the team lead.Â
Arizona completes the regular season with a 17-6 record, including a remarkable 13-1 record at home. The last time Arizona reached 17 wins as a team was back in the 2008-2009 season when they recorded a 17-5 record.Â
Pac-12 championships will begin next week in Ojai, California.Â
