HOSTING PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIPS
We are very excited to host the Pac-12 Track and Field Championships beginning on Friday, May 3 starting with two days of the multi-events before two full days of action at Roy P. Drachman Stadium on May 11 and 12. Hosting conference events and championships is an important component of our athletics department as we showcase and highlight our programs, University and Southern Arizona community. We are also looking forward to hosting several of our Track and Field alumni during the weekend of May 11-12. For more information about the alumni event, please contact Shapri Romero at fsromero@email.arizona.edu.
What an opportunity to see world-class athletes throughout the conference competing in Tucson, including several talented Wildcats. Arizona is coming off a strong showing at the Desert Heat Classic last weekend, and we have many of our exceptional track and field student-athletes ready to compete under the bright lights of the Pac-12 Championships. Come join us at Roy P. Drachman Stadium during the next two weekends to Bear Down and cheer on Arizona Track and Field.

THANK YOU AND BEAR DOWN
We want to thank all of our alumni, fans and supporters who have already renewed their Arizona Football season tickets and Wildcat Club memberships, including Men's Basketball priority seating. The strength of the Block A is powered by those who wear the colors and Back the A. Game Days are special for our athletics department, campus and community as we rally around our programs. If you haven't renewed your tickets and membership yet, you have until 11:59 p.m. (MST) on Wednesday, May 1 to renew.
SOFTBALL SENIOR DAY
Arizona Softball, with impressive records of 40-8 overall and 17-1 in the Pac-12, welcomes Washington this weekend for a battle of top-10 teams at Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium. Coach Candrea and the Wildcats have become one of the hottest tickets in town as our storied venue has continued its legacy as one of the top environments in all of college softball. This weekend's series versus the Huskies is the final homestead of the regular season with Sunday's game being Senior Day for the program's six outstanding seniors. Get your tickets now for the series, and we will see you at Hillenbrand!

STUDENT-ATHLETE CONVOCATION
We are getting closer to one of the most special times of the year: graduation. Educating and developing student-athletes to become the future leaders of our community is at the core of everything we do. It is always a privilege to honor a new class of Arizona graduates as we see Wildcats fulfilling their dreams and earning their college degrees.
This year's student-athlete convocation will include former Arizona Basketball standout Jerryd Bayless as a keynote speaker. Bayless is completing his degree as part of the CATS Forever program after completing his 11th season in the NBA.
Join us in celebrating this momentous accomplishment of all our Wildcat graduates at the student-athlete convocation, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. (MST) on Thursday May, 9, inside McKale Center.
MEN'S TENNIS NCAA'S
Tip of the cap to Arizona Men's Tennis on its selection to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010. The Wildcats will face Oklahoma in College Station, Texas to open postseason play on Friday, May 3.

An NCAA Tournament selection is a well-deserved honor for Coach Shields and the program who earned their first Pac-12 win since 2014 earlier this season. The No. 26 Wildcats finished the regular season with a record if 17-7, which marked Arizona's best season since 2009.
Congratulations to Coach Shields and the Wildcats on the excellent season and postseason berth. Bear Down and Go Cats!
PALS
For a fourth consecutive year, Arizona Athletics hosted a free leadership summit for middle school athletes organized and facilitated by Arizona student-athletes on Sunday, April 28. This event was a unique opportunity to help young athletes develop leadership skills that will not only help them in their sports but will also help them in the greater game of life. Arizona student-athletes applied the skills and leadership concepts they learned in the PAL (Peer Athletic Leaders) group in the Fall of 2018 to create experiential learning activities for the middle school students. Parents were also invited to attend a group presentation from our UA Early Academic Outreach department about resources and options to help their child prepare for high school and beyond.

This was an incredible event and a great opportunity for the community to engage with student-athletes outside of sports and witness the powerful role models and people behind the uniforms.
