Tucson, Ariz.- Arizona Men's Tennis added another two singles titles and a doubles title to their fall season resume. Junior Igor Karpovets and sophomore Conner Olsen each won their respective draws, while the team of Igor Karpovets/Stewart Block took home the doubles title.

Karpovets finished the tournament undefeated in both singles and doubles, having a 4-0 record in each. Olsen remains undefeated in singles play this fall, obtaining a 4-0 singles record in this tournament as well as a 1-1 doubles record with Jared Horwood. Block is still undefeated in doubles this fall, grabbing a 4-0 doubles record along with a 1-3 singles record.

Horwood finished 3-1 in singles and alongside Olsen got a 1-1 doubles record for a solid tournament performance. Freshman Hiroki Sakagawa  played well in his second college tournament going 2-2 in singles play and 1-2 in doubles with Carlos Hassey. Hassey battled to a 3-1 singles record with a 1-2 doubles record with Sakagawa.

Over in Columbia, Nick Lagaev won his first college match, finishing with a singles record of 1-3 and 1-2 in doubles. Alejandro Reguant won his first singles and doubles matches of the tournament and went on to earn a 2-2 and 1-2 record in singles and doubles respectively. No.38 Jonas Ziverts finished his tournament play with a 2-2 singles record and a 2-1 doubles record with Filip Malbasic. No. 46 Malbasic also went on to win his first ranked match of the fall season and finished 3-1 in singles play.

Volunteer Assistant Coach Alexander Free said about the Wildcat Invitational, "Another great weekend for the guys to get better and develop a championship mentality. Igor looked great all weekend winning the singles and doubles against tough competition. Super excited for Conner to get a second singles title of the year, he just keeps finding a way to win no matter who he plays. Stewart has established himself as an elite doubles player and the improvement he made this summer is certainly being showcased with two doubles titles in as many tournaments. I'm super proud of Jared Horwood who stepped up and beat two players that play at the top of their respected lineup. Jared worked super hard to earn his opportunity and I'm thrilled that he's capitalized on them. This is a great tournament for us to see where we are at as a team, and I think all of our guys will return practice this week with a good sense of where their games are at and where they need to improve before they compete again next month"
 
Big Numbers
Three Wildcats have an undefeated record in either singles or doubles this fall season. Olsen in singles play is undefeated through eight matches. Block is undefeated in doubles with an 8-0 record. Karpovets is undefeated overall, winning each of the eight matches he has played in, singles and doubles.
