TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona wrapped up day 2 of its two-day meet to open 2020, finishing with a 2-1 record in the event. The men defeated Northwestern 199-154 while the women split their two dual meets, defeating NAU 226-120 and falling to Northwestern 238-109.
The eighth-ranked men improved to 5-0 in dual meets this season while the 22nd-ranked women are now 3-4 this season.
Brooks Fail continued his dominance from Thursday, winning two more events, the 500 free and the 400 IM and helped the men win the 400 free relay.
Marin Ercegovic,
Jorge Iga,
Bjorn Markentin and
Kirsten Jacobsen also posted victories on Friday while
Hannah Cox posted her second and third runner-up finishes of the meet.
The Wildcats are back in action on Jan. 24 and 25 when they travel to Cal and Stanford, respectively. Arizona is back home for the final time this year on Feb. 1 vs. Texas.
