NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
November is Native American Heritage Month on the campus of the University of Arizona and at our athletics department. Our recognition of this important heritage month is in alignment with campus partners,
which includes President Robbins' declaration to celebrate diversity through the generations. Our campus strives to build sustainable relationships with sovereign Native Nations and Indigenous communities through education offerings, partnerships, and community service.
Our athletics department will pay tribute in a variety of ways, beginning with football donning a special helmet sticker during Saturday's homecoming game. We will also partner with the American Indian Alumni Association and Native American Student Affairs for an entire night of recognition around the women's basketball's home game versus Marist at 6:30 p.m. (MST) on Friday, Nov. 19.
Arizona Athletics' celebration of Native American Heritage Month is one of our strategic initiatives that include utilizing the strength of our campus and local community and their diverse populations
who drive the success of our Wildcat Way mission. Communities are our core, and we work to support the University of Arizona's commitment to a vibrant, empowered and inclusive campus.
HOMECOMING WEEKEND
This weekend marks one of our biggest celebrations of the year with our annual Homecoming weekend. Our days of festivities and programming center around our football game versus Cal at 12 p.m. (MST) on Saturday, Nov. 6 on Pac-12 Networks. If you don't have your tickets yet, you can
Saturday's game will see the official induction of Wildcat greats, Brooks Reed and Earl Mitchell, into the Ring of Honor at Arizona Stadium. This is one of the greatest honors we can bestow upon any student-athletes, and I invite you to join us for this special moment for Brooks and Earl during Saturday's game.
Campus partners have many great events for the Wildcat Family to enjoy throughout the weekend that include the lighting of A Mountain, annual campus bonfire on Friday night and the terrific tailgating opportunities. Homecoming is truly an inclusive and celebratory experience for all Wildcats and everyone in Southern Arizona, and we hope you make your plans to celebrate our university and its alumni this weekend.
MASK REMINDER IN MCKALE CENTER
We want to again remind you about our game day health and safety requirements
as we follow our campus partners' guidance. We are continuing to reinforce and remind all our fans about
the University of Arizona's campus guidelines regarding masks and face coverings indoors at all sporting events. We have been communicating this important information through a variety of channels and at McKale Center and will continue to do so.
- Fans are required to wear a mask to enter and at all times while in McKale Center
- Fans are permitted to take their mask off only when eating or drinking while in their seats
- Arizona Athletics expects all those who attend Arizona sporting events to be vaccinated or have tested negative for COVID-19 within the last 72 hours. This expectation is necessary to ensure the safety of all those attending and participating.
- Fans can visit ArizonaWildcats.com/GameDayHealth for more information
STUDENT-ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT
Did you know nearly 15 percent of all Arizona student-athletes are international?
Helena Pueyo of Arizona Women's Basketball is one of those student-athletes, and her experience since arriving from Spain has helped showcase the global growth of our student-athlete population. This is a key part of our
Wildcat Way strategic plan, which looks to empower international student-athletes with resources and support to cultivate a sense of belonging in our programs, on our campus and in our community.
WOMEN'S HOOPS EXHIBITION
Friday evening will be our final women's basketball exhibition as Coach Barnes and the Cats face Arizona Christian at 6:30 p.m. (MST) inside McKale Center. The
energy in the building was terrific for the team's first exhibition as we welcomed the best fans in college basketball back for the first time since March 1, 2020. We can't wait to host the
Wildcat Family again this weekend in McKale.
Friday's exhibition will be a great appetizer for the 2021-22 season, which begins on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. (MST). You can check out this
special Arizona Women's Basketball digital guide presented by Casino del Sol to get you ready for the season. With our opening night doubleheader of basketball in McKale Center, we have a special ticket offer for our fans for Tuesday night. You can get a ticket to the women's game versus Cal State Northridge at 5 p.m. (MST)
AND the men's game against NAU at 8:30 p.m. (MST) for just $25. Orders must be completed by 12 a.m. (MST) on Monday, Nov. 8, and

NEW FOR GAME DAY IN MCKALE
As a reminder for fans ahead of women's and men's basketball seasons, Arizona Athletics has made a move to
mobile ticketing, mobile parking and cashless concessions. You may have seen our media luncheon this week, highlighting our new concessions operations, menu items and our partnership with Aramark.
You can scan our QR code from anywhere in the arena to utilize mobile ordering and mobile pick-up during games. Fans can also visit
ArizonaWildcats.com/MobileOrdering to access menu options from anywhere in McKale.
Our athletics department continues to be a leader in new technology in our gameday atmosphere and fan experience. We hope you enjoy these new and efficient components of our concession operations in McKale Center all season long.
VOLLEYBALL'S HOME SWEEP
Coach Rubio and the Wildcats knocked off No. 15 Stanford and California in their home sweep over the weekend in McKale Center. The
victory over the Cardinal gave Arizona its third consecutive home win over Stanford for the first time in program history.
Puk Stubbe starred in the pair of victories and earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season for her performance. She tallied 29 kills in the two sweeps, which included a new career high of 17 in the win over the Golden Bears. Stubbe's pair of freshmen weekly honors has her closing in on Sofia Maldonado Diaz's record of three weekly awards that she set last season.
Arizona Volleyball hits the road this week for the state of Washington, beginning with a Friday match at Washington State at 6 p.m. (MST). Check
ArizonaWildcats.com and
@ArizonaVBall on social media for all your live stream, live stats and gameday information.
SOCCER VERSUS ASU
The final match of soccer season is scheduled for this week when we welcome Arizona State to Mulcahy Stadium. Come cheer on your Cats at 7 p.m. (MST) on Friday, Nov. 5, which will be the final match for our outstanding group of seniors who were recognized after Sunday's match. Ava McCray, Jill Aguilera, Sabrina Enciso, Iliana Hocking and Jordyn Schulte have played an integral part of growing our soccer program during their time as Wildcats, and they have proudly represented the University of Arizona and the Wildcat Family during their time as student-athletes.
The Cats opened last weekend with a 1-0 victory over Utah that saw Jill score another goal as well as Hope Hisey make seven saves in the clean sheet. If you don't have your tickets for Friday's match versus the Sun Devils, you can
click here to buy them. The first 500 fans to arrive at the stadium on Friday will receive a complimentary rally towel to cheer on the Cats with.
BASKETBALL SEASON OPENER
Tuesday will mark the official start of basketball season as we host a women's and men's doubleheader in McKale Center. Men's Basketball will host Northern Arizona at 8:30 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks following the women's game versus Cal State Northridge at 5 p.m. (MST). We had a
n exciting look at this year's team in our exhibition victory over Eastern New Mexico on Monday evening.
We have a
variety of season ticket options for fans to choose from to be a part of the action this season in McKale, beginning with Tuesday's season opener. Our friends at Arizona Wildcats Sports Properties have
a digital season guide presented by Casino del Sol for the Wildcat Family to Bear Down with.
