Men's Tennis Hosts Top 25 Opponent

TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 24 Arizona will take on its second ranked opponent of the season when No. 22 Pepperdine comes to the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center on Sunday.  Arizona jumped into the rankings this week at the No. 24 spot after a series of impressive performances.

A major part of their success has been in the doubles game. The Wildcats have won every doubles point this season as well as only losing one doubles match to No. 9 Florida. The Waves have had a rough start to the season, dropping their first two against No. 11 Texas A&M and ASU, and the Wildcats look to continue their losing streak.

No. 50 Jonas Ziverts and No. 105 Gustaf Strom have been another big component of the success this season with both being undefeated in singles. Senior Alejandro Reguant looks to make Wildcat history this weekend as well. He is currently tied for the most overall singles wins in program history with Roger Matalonga and one more would put him in sole possession of the title at 75. With two more wins he can also set the record for most spring season singles wins as well.

Men's Tennis will be playing at home on Sunday at 1 pm MST.
