Box Score TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Wildcats (1-2-0) fell to the LSU Tigers (5-0-0) 2-0 in day one of the Arizona State Desert Classic. The first 45 were dominated by the Tigers, scoring their two goals early on, with the Wildcats coming back strong in the second half. In the final 45 the Cats were able to create a handful of close attempts at the goal but were ultimately unable to put themselves on the board. 

Keeper Hope Hisey made 5 crucial saves throughout the match to increase her total to 12 on the season. Sophomores Nicole Dallin, Tianna Sidtikun and Jordan Hall were all key players in the match, taking 50% of Arizona's shots. Veteran defender Sabrina Enciso was a large defensive presence, seeing all 90 minutes of the match on Arizona's active back line. After Enciso, Jenna Studer, Maddy Koleno and Gianna Christiansen all racked up sizable amounts of playtime, seeing at least 75% of the match. Jill Aguilera and Olivia Briede were Arizona's additional shot takers.

Arizona will return to Tempe on Sunday, Sept. 5 for day two of the Desert Classic. They will take on Cal State Northridge at 11:00 a.m. MST on the Pac-12 Networks.
